| Thanks!  I glanced at the git m4 NEWS file but didn't realize that item
| matched darwin as well.

Besides darwin (MacOS in general) and {Open,Free,Net}BSD, are there any
other major OS's with BSD-derived stdio that suffer from this m4 bug?  Is
it worth me rewriting that news item to mention more platforms?  Cygwin's
libc comes from newlib, which also has a fork of BSD stdio, but newlib had
been patched in the meantime to match Linux behavior, which is why I
didn't catch it at the time I released m4 1.4.10.  And in the meantime, I
have gained access to an OpenBSD box (thanks Benoit), so I can avoid brown
bags like that in the future.
