Please disregard this.
Contrary to the above claim, I'm now pretty sure that no_x was in fact
"yes" when I observed this behavior on 10.5.2 (though I don't think this
was the case on a previous 10.5 version). As far as I can tell now,
things work as expected with regard to X11 detection as long as
--x-includes and --x-libraries are both passed to configure.
