According to Barnes, Jeff on 7/24/2008 8:44 AM:
| While installing libxml2-2.6.1, I get the following warning and errors.
| I've attached the config.log since it describes the environment much
| better than I could. If you have time could you please help?
Hello, Jeff,
|
| ...
|
| configure: WARNING: pthread.h: present but cannot be compiled
|
| configure: WARNING: pthread.h: check for missing prerequisite headers?
|
| configure: WARNING: pthread.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result
|
| configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ##

| configure: WARNING: ## Report this to address@hidden ##

| configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ##
Thanks for the report. This is a FAQ. Please read
http://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf/manual/html_node/Present-But-Cannot-Be-Compiled.html
and then show that to the maintainer of libxml2, who can fix this in his
package. The error becomes clearer if you look at the part of the
config.log file that deals with this failure.
