Thanks for the report. I agree that unsetting GREP_OPTIONS as part of
AC_PROG_GREP (and friends) sounds reasonable, so I will add this to my
todo list (I ran out of time to write the patch today, but wanted you to
at least know your email did not hit a black hole).
