There is absolutely no need to apologize.  If I wanted to speed up
review, I'd start pinging patches, and if that wouldn't help, I'd
suggest a more ambitious commit habit on my part.  I'm avoiding the
latter because review helps my patches.

Libtool is a bigger problem; the discussion doesn't belong here, but
the code base needs more testsuite exposure, and at the same time,
experiences even more system-specific quirks than Autoconf does, so
changes needs more testing on several systems.
