It worked! Thanks for sorting this out.
To be sure, I also re-run the whole testsuite; all the fortran-related
tests passed.
Thanks for the feedback. I added a NEWS blurb, then pushed:
** AC_FC_LIBRARY_LDFLAGS now tolerates output from newer gfortran.
I see failures w.r.t. `AS_BOX', but that's for another
thread I guess.
