Thanks for the report.  But generally, when a package requires 2.60, it
really means that you can build it with 2.60 OR NEWER (if not, then
please report it; and even if it is a documented semantic change, we
might be able to help that package write their configure.ac in a way
that is tolerant of both 2.60 and newer versions).  As such, we tend not
to worry about patching such ancient versions, and would instead prefer
you to test 2.69 (or even the upcoming 2.70).  Chances are the bugs you
encountered in 2.60 have already been fixed.
