Dear Automake maintainers,
when doing an "automake -f -a" for the first time, a newly added
`depcomp' script is not listed in the DIST_COMMON variable of the
top-level `Makefile.in'. Rerunning Automake then adds it.
The bug presented itself by causing a "make distcheck" to fail.
Other scripts/symlinks like `ltmain.sh' and `missing' are handled
correctly in this aspect.
Furthermore, the message "required file `ltmain.sh' not found" should
rather be supplemented or replaced with a hint that `libtoolize' will
be called in order to create it.
Sincerely,
Christian Cornelssen
