This command shouldn't be run in an out-of-the-box build.
A likely reason why it happens is that you are on a NFS mounted
file system, on a box which isn't synchronized (date-wise) with
the NFS server.

I guess you have `set -o nounset' or `set -u' somewhere in your `.profile'.
