Thanks for looking into this. Could you try the following command?
runtest --status --version --unexistingflag
I think it might be an easier way to check whether --status is supported
without hard-coding any threshold.
Here it simply displays the --version output, i.e.
Expect version is 5.38.2
Tcl version is 8.4
Framework version is 1.4.3
while I think you'll get a diagnostic about --unexistingflag.
