Hi,
I'm using systems where the source code is NFS-mounted, and for some
packages I need to do the install as root.
For security reasons, the NFS-mounted filesystems remap root to a "safe"
uid.
This means the 'mkdir .' fails, as root does not have write permission to
the current directory.
