Well, my analysis I've already given, and I suggest changing the automate 
manual and DejaGnu example, since it's simpler and less problematic than 
changing any code. If the automake maintainers are happy, then I'll submit a 
patch for the manual, and then take it up with the DejaGnu maintainers.
