cygnus Bash shopt -s checkwinsize

Dear All,

I have cygnus Bash (win nt) 2.04 and, apparently,
shopt -s checkwinsize
does  not   work:  "LINES"  and  "COLUMNS"   stay  the  same
unconditionally.  Is it  a windoze port bug, or  may be I am
doing  something wrong?  Besides,  those parameters  are not
seen in a script  (non-interactive Bash)... is there any way
to get'em?
