General bash mailing list?

Hello,

I'd like to ask a question about bash, but on its homepage/manual is no
reference to general mailing list for bash. I'm not interested on
newsgroups, since I use a dial-up connection and mailing list is better for
me.

The only email address mentioned in manual is one for bug reports, so please
redirect me to more appropriate one.

And what's my question? Here it is:
Is it possible in bash to execute script step-by-step, as it can be done
with batch file in MS-DOS?
