evaluation.

If you run the following lines it will work fine:
if [ 3164 -gt 3164 ]; then echo GREATER; else echo NOT GREATER;
fi # false
if [ 3165 -gt 3164 ]; then echo GREATER; else echo NOT GREATER;
fi # true
