Does anyone know how to get each bash prompt to start in vi-command mode.
What I want is every time a command is executed and the prompt returns I
want to be in vi-command mode. I can do this manually by <ESC> or
<SHIFT>+[ when the prompt is returned but usally I want to edit a previous
command so using the j and k keys to scroll through the
history makes life easy. I am using a debian package of bash version 2.05b.
I can post my .inputrc and other settings files if need be.
