Bash Version: 2.05b
Patch Level: 0
Release Status: release

Description:

rbash behaves like bash since 2.05b: no restrictions seem to appear any
longer. Downgrading to 2.05a fixed this issue here.

Repeat-By:

With 2.05b at least the restrictions to cd, exec /whatever etc. are not
longer valid after opening a ssh-session. Only if I exec rbash in the
new session the restrictions take effect again...

# /bin/pstree |/usr/bin/less
(which should be restricted in this way) shows:

  `-sshd---sshd---rbash-+-less
                        `-pstree
