Hi!
I ran the command
~$ time for i in `seq 0 10000` ; do echo /o/23/4 | cut -d'/' -f2 ; done
> /dev/null
6 times in a row, and noticed to the increase in execution time:
1)
real 0m16.573s
user 0m0.390s
sys 0m4.240s
2)
real 0m19.883s

sys 0m4.290s
3)

4)

how to interpret the results?
