So noexpand_translation is off by default.
I suggest to use the positive version: expand_translation
As that circumvents the double negation.
expand_translation
If set, the translated result of $"..." is enclosed in double quotes
instead of single quotes. This might expose the script to the
translated
result. For compatibility reasons, this option is enabled by default.
