No, in the (GNU ld version 2.15.94 20041130) version all library loading works 
as expected.

So it seems to be a bug of the version (2.15.90.0.1.1 20040303). Anyway my 
system is a i686-pc-linux-gnu.  I installed the 20040303 Version by an 
automated installation procedure of my Gentoo Linux. 
 
If you still need a test case I can strip down my current project to the bare 
essentials, but be prepared to meet some uncommon Makefiles ;)  But you don't 
seem to need such a test case, since your current version works fine. 
 
I will send a reference of this bug(570) to the gentoo package administrators.
