Subject: [Bug ld/2254] ld -r seg faults relocating against a local object symbol
Date: 2 Feb 2006 15:03:19 -0000

------- Additional Comments From hjl at lucon dot org 2006-02-02 15:03 -------
It doesn't segfault:

address@hidden rel-2]$
/export/build/gnu/binutils-import/build-x86_64-linux/ld/ld-new -r fail.o
/export/build/gnu/binutils-import/build-x86_64-linux/ld/ld-new: error: fail.o
contains a reloc (0x0000000800000001) for section .data that references a
non-existent global symbol
/export/build/gnu/binutils-import/build-x86_64-linux/ld/ld-new: final link
failed: Bad value
address@hidden rel-2]$
/export/build/gnu/binutils-import/build-x86_64-linux/ld/ld-new --version
GNU ld version 2.16.91 20060201
