https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20274

            Bug ID: 20274
Summary: MIPS: cannot build glibc: libpthread: multiple
definitions of "vfork at GLIBC_2 dot 0"
           Product: binutils
           Version: 2.27 (HEAD)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: binutils
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: manuel.lauss at gmail dot com
  Target Milestone: ---

With current git head of binutils, glibc for mips does no longer build:

mipsel-softfloat-linux-gnu-gcc -Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed -mabi=32 -Wl,-O1
-Wl,--as-needed -shared -static-libgcc -Wl,-O1 -Wl,-z,defs
-Wl,-dynamic-linker=/lib/ld.so.1 -B/tmp-ram/p
/build-o32-mipsel-softfloat-linux-gnu-nptl/nptl/libpthread.so:(*IND*+0x0):
multiple definition of address@hidden'
/build-o32-mipsel-softfloat-linux-gnu-nptl/nptl/libpthread.so::(.text+0xf0d0):
first defined here
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Same error also for mips32r2-unknown-linux-gnu tuple.

The last version of binutils I have that does build is
GNU ld (Gentoo git) 2.26.51.20160601
