Bug ID: 21739
Summary: Inconsistent diagnostics
Product: binutils
Version: 2.28
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: binutils
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: roland.illig at gmx dot de
Target Milestone: ---
Some of the diagnostics start with uppercase letters, some with lowercase. The
GCC guidelines say that all diagnostics should start with lowercase letters. At
least, within a single library, the style should be consistent.
Some of the diagnostics end with a full stop, others don't. This should also be
consistent.
There is a comma missing in the diagnostic "0,4, 8".
Some diagnostics end with an exclamation mark, which looks childish!!!
The diagnostic "invalid %function" is marked as "c-format", which is wrong.
