Linkger gold fails to build recent linux kernel.

Hi,

I am not sure if the problem of gold failing to build recent linux 
kernel has been reported to binutils mailing list.

I got hit by a problem reported in

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=187841

Basically, gold barfs during linux kernel build stating that there is a 
relocation overflow.
It seems that a lot of people got hit by this bug.
But I thought it seemed that the bug was not reported to binutils 
mailing list somehow.

If it has been reported already, please disregard this message.

I could use the ordinary ld to proceed with linux kernel build, but gold 
needs to be fixed IMHO.

Thank you for the great package! (I have been using gold to link mozilla 
thunderbird mail client for local testing under linux 64 bit for several 
years now.)
