Thanks.  So the situation is that the bug is fixed on the 2.35 branch,
but not the 2.35 release source tarball.  It is also fixed in the 2.35.1
release sources and the mainline.

So it looks like you need to talk to the binutils maintainer of whichever
distribution you are using and persuade them to either backport the patch
or update their base sources.

In the meantime I will update the documentation to describe the 'c' type...
