There is a /usr/bin/x86_64-linux-gnu-ld.bfd, which belongs to the host
binutils. Otherwise I'm doing a cross-build and a DESTDIR install, so there is
nothing that could get overwritten and destroyed during install.
I'll dig out the other information later.
