Yes, although it is not obvious/highlighted. The linker documentation for the
-L option states:
"Add path searchdir to the list of paths that ld will search for
archive libraries and ld control scripts."
A version script does count as a control script in this case, so the -L option
does affect searches for them.
I assume that you would like some clearer documentation on this ? If so, do
you have a suggestion for better wording ?
