Bug Report

We have a CVS archive located on a file server which is
NFS mounted onto a number of machines. Occasionally
the base files of the archive are being corrupted. This
takes the form of a number of null characters being inserted
into the file. Lower down the file, an identical number of
characters are deleted. The insertion/deletion appears to
occur at random places in the archive. The last such corruption
appears to have coincided with an rtag operation being performed
from a PC running LINUX, although I should stress the appears!

Obviously, corruption of the archive is a serious worry, as the
modifications are not happening in the latest version of the file
but in the base file, corrupting the entire archive. Do you have
any suggestions as to the possible cause of this?
