cvs 1.11.1p1 make fails

I recently downloaded the cvs 1.11.1p1 source code.  I am already running
1.11 on  one of my servers and I wanted to compare the two.
The OS is Solaris 2.7 (sparc)
gcc 2.95.3
I have tried both ./configure and ./configure --without-krb4
--without-gssapi
I receive the following errors when attempting to make

server.c:31: krb5.h: No such file or directory
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `server.o'

*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all'

What should I try next???
