CVS Connection Problem

To whom it may concern,

I was wondering if U had any suggestions with the following problem that I
am experiencing ?

I have set-up a CVS Server on a Linux PC, and have installed WinCVS as a
WindowsNT Client on another PC.  

When I try to make a connection to this server (e.g. to print the cvs
version (from the macros)), I get the following error message :-

" NEW CVSROOT: @10.1.2.4:/home/moores/cvsroot1 (NT server services)
  cvsnt.exe [checkout aborted]: Error connecting to server on \\10.1.2.4:
Network access is denied. "

Any suggestions as to how to get around this error would be very welcome.
