In short: the "libcvsacl" (in the acl/ subdirectory of CVS-NCLI
branch) is extremely standalone (and will soon be very functional).
When the generic auth/log server is ready, it would be very simple to
use it in the "ACL server" (I certainly would help with that, if need
be).

Actual ACL-related patches to the src/ subdirectory are very short,
and the whole ACL support is very non-intrusive. The acl.h/acl.c,
which implement the "cvs acl" subcommand, also could be donated to the
stock CVS.

Of course, it all goes if you mostly accept the ACL functionality that
was proposed and is implemented (though I think everyone will).

So the question is only in method of integration, not in functionality
to be integrated.

Sure, publish the specs somewhere -- it's interesting to know.
