Hi, there:

Your help is highly appreciated for my following issue.

My cvs server is on Redhat 7.3. The cvs server comes with Redhat 7.3, its version is 1.11.1p1. I have a developer who is outside of our firewall. I am trying to let him use wincvs 1.2 over ssh to connect to my cvs server. Is there anybody who has done this before? if so, please give me some hints.

CVS 1.11.1p1 is on RedHat 7.3
Wincvs 1.2 is on a windows 2000 system
SecureCRT 3.3.1 is on the windows 2000 system.

I can use secureCRT to log into that linux system.

Here are the steps I have done, but the developer still could not connect to cvs server

1) install SecureCRT 3.3.1 onto the developer's system.
2) log into the linux server where cvs server exists. it works.
3) install Wincvs 1.2 onto the developer's system.
4) set CVSROOT to :ext:userName@cvsServer:/cvs/repository from wincvs
5) set Authentication to "SSH server" from wincvs
6) log into cvs server using wincvs, it failed

thanks,
Jerry Li
