CVS (bug- and info-).

I just piped up in case anyone was expecting true microsecond resolution,
and would be annoyed (or worse, would have programs become unusably slow)
when it turned out the resolution wasn't as fine as they thought.

BTW, Derek, your analysis earlier about select() vs. Sleep was bang on - I
didn't think it warranted an additional email just to say "Yep, you're
right" :-)
