Nor did I... I was away from e-mail for the last few weeks, but I don't
see anything new on it.

I'd be happy to hear of alternatives to "KillNewFiles" and I guess
my only suggestion is something that seems a bit obscure:

"legacy" 'cvs import' behavior made the default:
   PromoteNewImportFiles=yes    -- 
or VendorImportDefault=on

"new" 'cvs import -X' behavior made the default:
   PromoteNewImportFiles=no     --
or VendorImportDefault=off

I am not sure if there is some other neutral and obvious short-hand
method of describing what this switch does...
