Trying to use cvs on an SGI (IRIX 6.5) we get a cvs abort:
$ cd /usr/people/cowboy/var/mips-sgi-irix6.5-gcc2.95.2/sandboxes
$ cvs export -d fsl -r "stable" distworld
cvs [export aborted]: could not chdir to
/cowboy/var/mips-sgi-irix6.5-gcc2.95.2/sandboxes
The path is relative to the root of the current filesystem and not
relative to the overall root. It should be
/usr/people/cowboy/.../sandboxes where /usr/people is an NFS mounted
filesystem.
Brief experiment shows that this is a problem for several cvs commands
not just export and using a local directory, say "/tmp", works okay.
