Hi Richard,

I have sent a patch for this quite a while ago, see:

Its certainly not a real fix - but a workaround.
Another way would be to pipe stderr like stdout is piped - with the 
disadvantage of maybe mixing the order of stdout/stderr msg, where stderr 
would only contain ssh errors.
