Checkout shows all modules as modified

I have a problem checking out modules from WinCVS. The problem is that 
everything I checkout is shown as modified right away and has the current date 
instead of the date the module was checked in to CVS. I had earlier checked in 
the changes to CVS from the command line on a different machine using the same 
login information used on the machine with WinCVS. This problem occurs even 
after having deleted the modules from the local file system and then checking 
out the modules using WinCVS.

Can someone help?
