[Bug-ed] Change in ed 1.14.1

One change in ed 1.14.1 is particularly annoying during interactive use.
Specifically, the file access errors no longer appear (no such file or 
directory, permission denied, etc).

In previous versions of ed, I can run:
ed test.c
Where ed will reply:
test.c: No such file or directory

I'll either get the file size or an error.

In ed 1.14.1, I get nothing back.

Reading the code, this now seems to be tied to verbose. I don't want 
verbose; after 15 years I know what the most common errors are.
