Hi Michael, Now I can't reproduce it either (in a slightly different setting). 
I must have made some big mistake when trying to verify that bug before 
reporting. I really excuse and promise to be much more careful in reporting
a bug when believing to find one! Oops!

(Basically i tried  cp --archive --one-file-system /* /mirror/root/. 
This hung up at some /proc device file, and I started to mechanically
copy each file/directory separately. Then i detected that
cp --archive --one-file-system /usr/* /mirror/root/usr copied files 
which i than believed to be a bug... (which it obviosuly isn't),  than 
i reinstalled the package etc.)
