Folks,
On Solaris, I am in the habit of using 'chmod -R a=u dir_name' when I want to
grant permissions to others on a dir tree that I own. It does not seem to work
on my RH Linux 7.1 box (where I have fileutils 4.0.36), either with umask set to
2 or 0 (note: umask does not matter when this is used on Solaris). I am
thinking that this may be a bug?
Thanks for all of your good work,
Lynne Lawrence
