The test program ran and returned a code of 1, which is why I identified that particular test case as the cause. I was attempting to save you work.
The build completes successfully if configure is hacked to darte that test case.
But with a broken iconv() function, the built binaries likely will not work asexpected.
Understood. This issue is currently blocking Sonoma support by http://github.com/quodlibet/quodlibet. I will probably have to patch gettext and fix any internationalization issues later.
Was 0.22.3 built only on Apple Silicon? I’m puzzled by why you didn’t run into this, and why MacOS iconv apparently regressed.
