horrible images when converting ps to pdf |

Hi,
I use ghostscript/gsview under win2000 some time but now I got a
problem.
In the past (I don't know at what time my problem started, since I
didn't pay much attention at beginning)
I did the same job with the same files and it worked.
-I use ghostscript 7.0/Gsview 4.0
-I print a document with word to a ps-file (usein a nec-ps printer to
file)
-I open the ps-file with gsview all looks good
-I convert the ps file to pdf
-Here the problem is: all images looks if the were high compressed
jpegs, so screenshots
of dialogs looks horrible and are unreadable.
I uninstalled ghostscript/gsview and reinstalled it -> the same result
I installed the version 6.5 -> the same result.
I don't understand what is happening because in the past I used
gsview/ghostscript to
do just the same thigs and the bitmaps in the pdf were ok. I played
around with all parameters
but with no effect. Is something in the registry telling to convert
bitmaps in a special way???
Thanks
Bye
Stephane
