Solaris 8 AND GS

The version of GS on www.sunfreeware.com lists the
default search path (from gs -help) as:

Search path:
   . : /usr/local/share/ghostscript/6.0/lib :
   /usr/local/share/ghostscript/fonts

NOTE:  
The fonts that are supplied with GS are installed in
/usr/local/share/ghostscript/6.0/lib/fonts

setenv FONTPATH or GS_FONTPATH does not add
the above listed path to the search path, so
even if the font is listed in the default Fontmap.GS, 
it may not be found. 

If you need to access the defaulf fonts supplied with
GS:
setenv GS_LIB /usr/local/share/ghostscript/6.0/lib/fonts

This adds the GS_LIB path to the builtin compiled path.
