Is this group actually read and responded to?

(Sorry if you see this twice; I see that the group should have been
configured as moderated on my news server but wasn't, so I'm reposting
a message I posted before it was configured correctly.)

A brief examination of the last 100 messages in gnu.ghostscript.bug on
my News server reveals that the vast majority of them are spam.  I find
it hard to believe that anyone with an interest in ghostscript would be
willing to wade through all the crap to get at real messages.  Does
anybody actually do so, or is this newsgroup effectively dead?
