It is the condition in which nobody in the world is lost.
Someone at Headquarters had a bee in his bonnet that white bikes would be safer than black ones.
However there are plenty of parts that are usable like the front rim and handle bars etc. Ive had her a few years and have been riding it nearly everyday, come rain or snow. As you can clearly see it was time to get it the hell out of there!
As you can see there is a lot of work to restore it.
Really pisses you off when you have spent half a day polishing it, but I am sure the guys in the helicopter got a great laugh out of it. Seats original vinyl. It is definitely not a race bike, my opinion, but Honda did build at least a prototype based on this engine. New old stock instruments and steering wheel, Restored dashboard panel. No cover in boot was standard. Re-built engine with new cam chain, pistons and rings, some bearings and seals replaced. However there are plenty of parts that are usable like the front rim and handle bars etc. Had this one imported, it started second kick when pulled from the crate, two month old Japanese fuel and all.
I slowly painted things and rebuilt the engine and it turned out to be a pretty good looking bike.
As I said this is a gradual restoration project. The front disc brakers offer superior reliability in braking performance at high speeds. Depending on which side of the road you ride on that is! Really pisses you off when you have spent half a day polishing it, but I am sure the guys in the helicopter got a great laugh out of it. I am in sunny South Africa where the weather is perfect for bike riding.
Heater via lever, next to gear shifter, push in to open flap and let warm engine air inside. Does not compete with the modern bikes my friends prefer.
