Hi!
Please pardon me if these 2 problems are not bugs.
Slackware 4 upgraded to kernel 2.4.17. glibc version
2.1.2 was used to compile glibc 2.95.3. The target of
this report is glibc 2.95.3 working on AMD K6 II
450MHz.
=========================
Problme 1:
I excerpted the message from config.log generated by
configure --prefix=/ --exec-prefix=/
as:
configure:3377: checking for local label subtraction
configure:3412: checking for libgd
configure:3428: gcc -o conftest conftest.c -lgd
-lpng -lz -lm 1>&5
configure:3422: gd.h: No such file or directory
configure: failed program was:
#line 3421 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"
#include <gd.h>
int main() {
gdImagePng (0, 0)
; return 0; }
configure:3448: checking size of long double
configure:16: checking installed Linux kernel header
files
--------------------------
Problem 2:
I also successfully compiled XFree86 4.2. However,
the installation "make install >& install.log" of
XFree86 faild with one of the follwing messages
libdl-2.0.6: reference to unknown "atextit"
libdl-2.0.6: reference to unknown "atexit"
libdl-2.0.6: reference to unknown "textit"
libdl-2.0.6: reference to unknown "texit"
I am sorry I can not remember the exact error now. I
will write it down tonight and report again if asked.
Please note that I compiled and installed XFree86 4.2
without problem with glibc 2.1.2 on another Slackware
(kernel upgraded to 2.4.17) on AMD K6 II 266 MHz
notebook.
Regards,
CN
