Is this included with glibc? :)
Note that I want to build from source -- because I am building a glibc
package for a Linux distribution. I have successfully built several glibc
packages in the past using different versions of gcc. (The working
versions of glibc that I currently use I built from source, prepared a
package and installed on other machines as a package.)
I have installed glibc install to a different directory. Do the libraries
(and other files) have the --prefix setting hard-coded into them? In other
words, on my package build machines, should I use --prefix=/whatever to
complete the full install and then when finished testing, can I copy into
place (/)?
As for my previous posting situations: has anyone seen those problems? Or
have any ideas?
Thanks,
