I obtained Emacs from git://git.savannah.gnu.org/emacs.git and my HEAD
is currently at commit 'ae584345'.

I can't seem to reproduce on my x86_64 desktop either. This could be an
ARM specific issue. I have another ARM device with me, I'll try testing
on that to see whether it is the specific chip in my Chromebook at fault
or wider-ranging problem.
