Then I expect that's changing the normal search order. You're
probably best off just unsetting it, though the man page suggests you
can set LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64 to override it for a 64-bit link.
(I assume you want a 64-bit build. It'll run faster, but if you need
32-bits to be compatible with other stuff you can add "ABI=32" to the
configure. See the manual on ABI and ISA.)
