Oh, sorry for the duplicate report. Your report does not appear in
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gmp/
whereas mine does. And your report appears on gmane, but mine doesn't.

Yeah, that was a syntax error of mine. I meant #if, not #ifdef:
